A Lantern Affair
Join us for a Multicultural Celebration of Light!
Saturday, December 1 from 4:30 - 7:30pm
Come celebrate the things that make us unique but together form a cultural mosaic!
Drop by Carré Heritage Square for A Lantern Affair, our free, all-ages holiday event featuring live music and song, arts activities, home baking, a pottery show and sale, a multicultural celebration of light and a radio version of the classic Dickens tale, A Christmas Carol (Live on Air)!
Make your own lantern, choosing from designs particular to different cultures, and then participate in our festive lantern ceremony; create crafts inspired by traditional cultural designs; have a visit with Father Christmas; bake up some heritage goodies; tick some items off your gift list and more, all in three hours!
*Place des Arts will have a box for Share food and toy bank donations in our Atrium from November 15 to December 20. Please consider bringing a donation of food or a new, unwrapped toy when you come to A Lantern Affair.
