After showing an appreciation and interest in music, Winnie started piano lessons at the age of six. She enjoys the beautiful sounds that the piano makes every time she plays but finds memorizing difficult. Winnie's role models are Yun Di Li, Lang Lang, and Eugeny Kissin - she says “their finger movements, musical expression, and recitals are so wonderful” and that one day she hopes to be a great pianist like them with her own private recital. She is happy and excited to have won this scholarship.
