Each season, we provide the opportunity to meet and engage with three compelling, internationally renowned BC artists in our exciting Salon Speaker Series. Artists will speak / perform for one hour, followed by a 15-minute intermission and then an audience Q & A.

Dale Barltrop: Concertmaster Vancouver Symphony Orchestra

What exactly does a Concertmaster do, besides play the violin at the front of the orchestra?  Go behind the scenes of orchestral life with VSO Concertmaster Dale Barltrop who will delve into the intricacies of his role in and out of the orchestra. You will also hear him speak about and perform some of the most famous concertmaster solos in the repertoire.
