Artisan Shop
You may be aware that Place des Arts’ artisan shop sells exquisite, hand-crafted treasures and gifts in a wide variety of media. But did you also know that when you purchase goods from the shop, you are not only supporting Place des Arts, but also local artist and artisans?
As a non-profit centre, part of our mandate is to support community artists, and we do this in part through our shop. Sales from the shop support the local artists whose works we sell, with partial proceeds helping Place des Arts provide our wonderful programs and cultural experiences.
Next time you’re looking for a piece of art or a unique gift, look no further than our shop. You’ll feel good about your purchase knowing you are supporting the arts in more ways than one. Stop by frequently, as new items and artists are added regularly.
Interested in selling your work in our Artisan Shop?
Items in the gift shop must be unique and handmade locally. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate photographs, prints or paintings, and we are at capacity with hand-made cards and jewelry.
Artists are welcome to apply to enter their work in the artisan shop year round.
