• Animation Studio (Grades 4-12)

  Stop-motion animation like The Nightmare before Christmas and Coraline! Hand-drawn animation like anime and Saturday-morning cartoons! Even computer-based Flash animation! In this class, you will try it all, creating your own dynamic and entertaining animated short films that will be uploaded to YouTube. • Cartooning (Grades K-3)

  From funny animals to humans, learn to draw all kinds of characters. You’ll practice design, proportion, expression and body language using pencil, ink and colour. Then you’ll create your own characters and feature them in your own comic stories! Teacher: Kenten Bowick

• Cartooning: Comics (Grades 4-12)

  Dive into the world of comic book making! You’ll create your own cast of characters and bring them to life by throwing them into poses with other characters, objects and environments. You’ll then produce your own multi-page story and learn how to layout, copy, fold and staple copies of your own comics. Teacher: Kenten Bowick

• Clay: Handbuilding (Grades 4-12)

  Develop your own skill and creativity through the limitless possibilities of handbuilding with clay.  Students will design, create and glaze objects both decorative and functional. All skill levels are welcome. Teacher: David Robinson

  Learn the basic techniques of handbuilding pottery while having fun! You’ll engage in independent exploration to create imaginative decorative pieces, which may include animal sculpture or fashioning and decorating functional items. • Yoga Grades K-6

  Improve your concentration, flexibility, body alignment and motor skills with this ancient form of movement. Yoga combines simple breathing technique with postures and movement to make your body and mind feel great and happy. Please wear comfortable clothing that allows for freedom of movement.
