• String Quartet: Intermediate (10-21 years)

  The string quartet setting provides students with the opportunity to improve their accuracy of intonation and rhythm while interacting musically with one another. The quartet will have opportunities to participate in music festivals as well as in community events. Minimum technical requirement: RCM Grade 6.

• String Quartet: Junior (9-12 years)

  Have fun while learning how to play in a string quartet. You will improve your intonation, rhythm and technique while developing new repertoire and learning to play chamber music. Interested students should contact the front desk to arrange an audition. Ensemble dates and times to be confirmed after auditions are complete. Minimum technical requirement: RCM Grade 4.   $15.75 per class (plus $15.00 annual supply fee)

• Taiko Drumming Ensemble (9-13 years)

  Students will learn rhythms, stance, movement and the fundamental techniques needed to play basic taiko pieces. The ensemble will create new pieces and incorporate other percussion instruments to accompany the taiko. Practice drums, stands and bachi (sticks) will be provided during each class. No experience necessary. No audition required. Teacher: Eien Hunter-Ishikawa
