Andrew Poirier – Trombone and Baritone
Andrew Poirier hails from Lewisporte, Newfoundland. An accomplished trombonist, Andrew currently works as a freelance musician. He performs, tours and records with orchestras and other ensembles all over Canada. He is also the trombonist, manager and chief arranger of the Vancouver Brass Project. Andrew began his musical studies in the Salvation Army and then went on to earn a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of British Columbia and a Master of Music Degree from the San Francisco Conservatory. Andrew was the Acting Principal Trombone of the Vancouver Symphony from 2007-2010.
