Jennifer Cyr – Voice, Singing Fundamentals (Children)
Soprano Jennifer Cyr received a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance with Distinction from Trinity Western University (2008) and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance and Literature from the University of Western Ontario (2010). Currently, she is pursuing an Artist's Diploma from the Vancouver Academy of Music.
In December 2010, at the Vancouver Academy of Music, Jennifer played Contessa Almaviva in scenes from Le Nozze di Figaro by Mozart as well as Konstanze in scenes from Die Entführung aus dem Serail. Jennifer is understudying the role of Micaela for the Vancouver Opera Concert Co –operative production of Carmen in January 2011.
In summer 2010, Jennifer attended Opera Nuova as well as Opera on the Avalon. While attending Opera Nuova, Jennifer performed in the operas Falstaff by Verdi, Roméo et Juliette by Gounod, and Béatrice et Bénédict by Berlioz.
She also performed in a French Song Soirée singing selections from Chants d'Auvergne by Canteloube as well as performing Laurie in scenes from Oklahoma. At Opera on the Avalon, Jennifer performed in numerous recitals including the Italian Arias Recital, Lyric German Lied Recital, and La Mélodie Française Recital.
