Leanne Koch – Voice, Vocal Basics
Leanne has a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music from UBC in voice and opera performance. Having taught for over 10 years, she is also a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS).
Leanne recently completed studies at Shenandoah University (Virginia) Contemporary Commercial Music (CCM) Institute, completing courses in Somatic Voicework – the Lovetri Method™ Levels I-III, and classes in Gospel music, Working with Injured Voices with Wendy LeBorgne (PhD., CCC-SLP) and Voice and Movement with Joan Melton.
She has sung in recitals, concerts and with Opera Appassionata, Opera NUOVA, Opera Breve and Vancouver Opera Chorus. She has also adjudicated at festivals around BC.
Leanne loves to share her love of singing; her teaching goals are to provide engaging classes which help students become lifelong singers who sing and make music to the best of their ability.
