Private Lessons

Private music lessons are available during the day, after school, in the evening and on weekends. Generally, lessons run from September to June; however, many of our teachers offer private lessons throughout the summer months as well.

Registration for private music lessons must be done in person at Place des Arts.

Why Study Anywhere Else?

Our welcoming facility possesses well-equipped studios and performance spaces that enhance learning and encourage music making.

In addition to regular private music instruction, we offer many complementary opportunities for students to hone their technical and performance skills:

Master Classes

Every spring we host master classes with guest teachers for our students. These group classes allow our students to receive feedback from specialists and learn from watching the master presenter give feedback to fellow students.

Faculty Concerts

Place des Arts' music teachers perform in faculty concerts throughout the year. These concerts are wonderful opportunities for students to learn from watching and listening to their teachers play.

Student Concerts

Place des Arts' students have many opportunities to perform themselves. Monthly student concerts, art openings and other special events are just some of the performance opportunities we provide. Many of our teachers also hold studio recitals in which their students are invited to perform.

Not sure which instrument you'd like to play?

Our teachers offer a range of different teaching styles as well as instruments to study. Many of our teachers offer trial lessons and/or would be happy to speak with you in advance of your first lesson to help you decide which instrument is right for you. Or you can always drop by our annual open house in September to view our facilities and find out more about Place des Arts' music program.

Private Music Lesson Fees

Fee levels vary by instructor and begin at $23 per 30-minute lesson.
