• Cartooning (Grades K-3)

  From cartoon characters and funny animals to aliens and talking fruit, we'll build drawings from basic shapes. Come and pour your imagination into your own characters and comic strips using pencil, ink and colour. Teacher: Kenten Bowick

• Cartooning: Animation Studio (Grades 4-12)

  Stop-motion animation like The Nightmare Before Christmas and Coraline! Hand-drawn animation like anime and Saturday-morning cartoons! Even computer-based Flash animation! In this class, you will try it all, creating your own dynamic and entertaining animated short films that will be uploaded to YouTube. • Creative Clay (Grades K-3)

  Learn the basic techniques of handbuilding pottery while having fun! You'll engage in independent exploration to create imaginative decorative pieces, which may include animal sculpture or fashioning and decorating functional items. • Music for Young Children® (4-6 years)

  Music for Young Children® is a unique Canadian music program for children, with parental participation required. Instruction is provided in keyboard skills, singing, ear training, theory, rhythm, sight reading and composing through dynamic hands-on teaching techniques. The program consists of three levels: Sunshine (4 years), Sunbeams (5-6 years) and Moonbeams (7-9 years). Moonbeams 3 prepares children for the Conservatory Canada Grade 1 Piano and Preliminary Theory examinations. As this is a full-year program, students must start classes in September. Program materials and books are extra. Please inquire at registration desk. Class maximum is six students. Teacher: Cindy Sletmoen
